Ask WienerDog is a question-and-lookup platform from The Educated Monkey LLC. WienerDog is the site's curious dachshund mascot and finder of answers.

The goal is simple: instead of making visitors figure out which tool or database they need, they can ask a question in ordinary language and WienerDog routes it to the most appropriate source.

How WienerDog finds answers

Some requests—such as calculations, common unit conversions, time lookups, VIN decoding, and vehicle recall searches—can use direct tools or authoritative databases without using AI. Broader questions can use an AI model, and current questions can use live web search when needed.

Why the routing matters

This approach is designed to make answers easier to use, favor authoritative structured sources when available, and avoid unnecessary AI cost for simple deterministic tasks.
